The Enterprise tumbles across space eventually coming to a halt. With no choice, Kirk orders the ship to warp as Behemoth dies and the shockwave from its death slams into them. Though Kirk attempts to dissuade him, the alien is immovable instead insisting that his new friends save themselves. The Hunter has loaded his ship with photon torpedoes and intends to use this unique opportunity to create a matter/anti-matter reaction from inside his foe. As the crew debates the morals of killing the lifeform to ensure the survival of others, Behemoth catches up to them, drawing the Enterprise into itself to feed on the crystals.Īs death seems certain, a shuttelcraft launches. The entity feeds on solar radiation to such an extent that it gorges itself on stars, leaving the empty systems to die, before, organically, warping off to its next meal.Īt a staff meeting, Carol proposes that Behemoth only turned its attention on the Enterprise because it was "sampling a dish". Once Kirk is back aboard, he instantly orders the ship to jump to warp which, in spite of the monumental risks, allows them to escape.Īs the Enterprise licks its wounds, the crew learns that their new friend calls himself " The Hunter" who tells them of Behemoth. Impulse engines are already at maximum power and they cannot escape the entity's grasp. Discovering the injured pilot inside, Captain Kirk and the crew learned of a new threat of unprecedented power, shortly before that threat revealed itself to the Enterprise …Īs Behemoth bears down on the USS Enterprise, its energy tendrils begin somehow breaking down the dilithium crystals in the warp core and absorbing them through the hull. I'll post screenshots later in a new thread.Summary Previously in Star Trek … While on their five-year mission into uncharted space, the USS Enterprise came upon a damaged alien vessel of an unknown origin. It's no wonder I keep winning because the other AI's all have 76 Pirates locking down their entire Empire. The point is, the AI is incapable of handling them.

I hope this helps! That's not the point, I handled the Pirates, even if it was incredibly hard. Note: Lairs will only (re)spawn on Star Systems (not special nodes such as Asteroid Fields etc.) that are inoccupied, thus they are obund to disappear as the game progresses and Empires develop.Īnother point that might interest you is that normally, if there is no Lair (because they have all been destoyed in a quick succession) in the Galaxy for a few turn (usually 3, I think) the Pirate empire is consideredd destroyed and Lairs should not appear anymore. If you're swarmed with Pirates, I recommend you put task forces together, equipped with sieging modules and start busting those buggers!

Originally posted by Aurélien:To deal with Pirates efficiently, you need to use your Fleets to destroy their ships but more importantly, you need to launch assaults (Ground Battle) against their Lairs (you may need to wittle down their stationed Manpower by sieging the Lair for a few turns)
